W. Colin McKay, for a while, toyed with the idea of an acting career but quickly realized that it was more fun to write the words than say them. For the stage, his dark comedy Where Nobody Belongs was produced at East/West Players, and Snitch, a "critic's choice" play he co-wrote with George Cybulski, was produced at the Fountain Theatre in Los Angeles. Gentleman's War, a play about Africa, was a finalist in the Kennedy Center's New American Play Series. His new play, Shadow War, was chosen as a winner for the New Play in America Series at Charlotte Repertory, Charlotte, N.C. For television, McKay has been on staff of a daytime serial and has written for animation. He currently has several screenplays in development. Snitch has also been turned into a screenplay. He is a member of the Writers Guild of America, West, and The Dramatists Guild. McKay was born and raised on the West Coast and has traveled most of the United States.
